Academic Activity: Professor of Civil Law at the School of Law of P. Universidad Católica de Chile. He is permanently invited to give lectures in different postgraduate law school programmes in Chile.

Other Activities: Arbitrator for the Centro de Arbitraje y Mediación Cámara de Comercio de Santiago (CAM Santiago). Former Counsellor for the Colegio de Abogados de Chile A.G.; former Supreme Court attorney.

Publications: He is author of several publications, including the following books: “El retraso en el cumplimiento de las obligaciones”, Madrid, Dykinson (1998); “La nulidad de los actos jurídicos. Consideraciones históricas y dogmáticas”, Bogotá, Universidad Javeriana/Grupo Editorial Ibáñez (2012).

Prior Work Experience: Colegio San Benito (1982-1987); Mayor of the Municipality of Renca (1989-1992); Consejo de Defensa del Niño (1992-1994); Professor at Universidad de los Andes’ School of Law, where he was Director of the School of Law’s Doctorate Program (2001-2007) and Dean (2010-2012).
